WSOP 2010 Action

Building on the success of the tournament structures introduced last year, all WSOP 2010 events will feature deep starting stacks. That will give players plenty of ammo to battle it out and to let their skill do the talking at the table, instead of decisive early coin-flips. Other new features that the 2010 WSOP will bring to the table are:
- The $50k Player Championship, in which players will do battle through 8 different poker variants, through 4 days of action, for a hefty cash prize as well as for the prestigious Chip Reese trophy.
- A new event will be introduced this year to up the ante for high stakes players: the $25k 6-handed NL Holdem event will be event #52. Featuring short-handed play, this event fill unfold over 4 days and it will certainly see some rabid action, as the size of the prize-pool and the tournament structure are all set up to facilitate that.
- HORSE is a game which stretches players to the limit and which requires a well-rounded set of skills from participants. HORSE events have been extremely popular in past editions, so this year, in addition to the $1,500 and $3,000 HORSE events, a new $10,000 World Championship event shall also grace the schedule.
- Charity wont be left off the schedule either. The Ante Up For Africa Event, featuring all sorts of celebrities, will kick off on July 3rd, 2 days before the Main Event and it will feature a buy-in of $5,000.
- The Ladies Only and Seniors Only events will be back as well, both featuring $1,000 buy-ins.
