Qualify Online to The European Poker Tour 2012 - EPT 9 San Remo Stop

The San Remo stop of the 9th season of the EPT will take place in the fall yet again. After an EPT-less month in September, EPT 2012 players will be able to belly up to the tables again in October. The San Remo stop lasts from October 3 to October 11, with its Main Event kicking off on October 5.
The scene of the action will be the Casino Sanremo again and organizers expect nothing short of massive crowds to show up for the Main Event. Last year (during Season 8), the event was a massive success indeed. Russia’s Andrey Pateychuk walked away with the title and the €650k top prize then, having bested Bulgaria’s Dimitar Danchev heads-up. A total of 837 players registered for the Main Event, and if current trends keep up, this season that number is almost guaranteed to be topped.

The European Poker Tour's San Remo Main Event will feature a rather interesting restriction on the patches players can wear at the tables: only operators who can legally do business in Italy at the time of the tournament are allowed to be represented.
Players should also make sure that they take all their relevant bank details with them to San Remo, simply because according to Italian law, the casino can only pay out winners by wiring them the money. There’s a restriction on the amount of money that can be transferred too: players can only pick up €999 per day, so it’ll take a while to transfer all their winnings to their accounts.

As usual, the stop is not only about the Main Event. There are all sorts of tournaments and cash games on the schedule too, unfortunately, online qualifiers are only available for the Main Event. Players can qualify for small change if they take advantage of the European poker Tour 2012 sub-satellite structures offered by PokerStars.
