The title says it all.
Doyle’s Room
has always been a popular destination (even in the bleaker hours of its existence) because of the team of pros they maintained and because of the bounty tournaments they ran. Their bounty events have always been interesting because players got the chance to chat with and to play against poker personalities like Tex Dolly himself, his son, Todd, the Mad Genius of poker, Mike Caro and WSOP bracelet winner Hoyt Corkins. This motley crew of poker personalities has always been a high quality one. I don’t think that any of Doyle’s in-house players would’ve been rejected by Full Tilt Poker either, which has a famously strict vetting process in place for all the pros aspiring to be in-house players there.
Doyle’s $50,000 bounty features a $50,000 prize-pool but on top of that there are plenty of other opportunities to make money. Knocking out one of the pros involved carries a $1,000 reward. If someone manages to knock out two players with bounties on their heads, he wins $10,000. The lucky player who knocks out 3 bounty players gets $50,000.
If you knock Tex Dolly out, holding a 10,2 ( a famous hand which brought two WSOP Main Event titles for Doyle), you’ll pocket a $5,000 reward. Win the bounty event, and on top of the prize you receive, you’ll get $500 worth of casino chips, that you’ll be able to use at Doyle’s Casino.
Probably the best perk of all however is the beginner rebate. First timers in Doyle’s $50,000
bounty tournament
will get the full amount of their direct buy-in refunded at the end of the event, regardless of whether they win or lose. The refund of the $27.50 has to be claimed manually at the site.
