European Poker Tour – Copenhagen
The EPT’s Danish stop has always represented a descent into the weird and fascinating world of Nordic poker for all participants since the beginnings of the EPT. That’s right, not once has the Copenhagen stop been omitted in the 7 seasons of the EPT’s existence. This year, the Copenhagen event will cost DKK 37,250 to enter and the Main Event will run on February 21-26th at Casino Copenhagen. Playing in the Main Event will be scores of PokerStars pros, online qualifiers, as well as professional players from all over the Nordic realms.
Last year, it was a Nordic player who took down the top prize of the Main Event: an astonishing €494k haul. Anton Wigg pocketed the top prize, but the real story of the tournament was that of Danish online qualifier Morten Guldhammer, who finished seventh for a prize of €57,100, after he’d won his entry to the event for a mere $1. A car mechanic, Guldhemmer proved that EPT Main Events weren’t only for the top pros and the rich.
If you want to follow in Guldhammer’s footsteps, you can do it by registering an account with PokerStars and by playing in their online qualifiers.
The cheapest such qualifiers cost only €5.45 or 100 FPPs and they can indeed offer you the chance of a lifetime.

Main Event, you can buy in directly at PokerStars through either the VIP T$ or through wire transfer. If you do win your way to the event though, you’ll have your accommodation and transportation covered as well, and you’ll get a little spending money on the side too.
You’ll find the EPT qualifiers under the Events tab in the EPT section.
