Freeroll your way into the PCA! Starting October 17th, 2009,
PokerStars runs a promotion you will definitely not want to miss out on. Called the Daily PCA Freeroll Fantasy, this baby gives you plenty of value, not to mention playing opportunities.
Starting October 17th and all the way through to December 5th, PokerStars will run a Freeroll Fantasy qualifier every hour, to which the entry will be completely free. In addition to these freerolls, there will be $1.10 qualifiers running hourly too, as part of the same promotion.
Your objective in these qualifiers is to make the final table. If you succeed, you’ll gain an entry to the PCA Freeroll Fantasy Main Event, which will offer you access to the richest live poker event outside the USA: the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure’s Main Event. That’s right, all you need to do is make it to the final table of the Freeroll Fantasy Main event, and you’ll secure a PCA prize package worth $15, 100. There are 27 such packages on offer and there will be 3 Freeroll Fantasy Main Events, all of which will reward all their final tablists with such prize packages. Of the $15,100, $10,300 will go to PCA tourney buy-ins, the rest is for accommodation and other expenses.
You’re not even compelled to use your buy-in money for the
PCA Main Event (although given that Poorya Nazari won $3 million in it last year, you’ll probably want to), you’ll have plenty of side events to choose from.
Nazari himself had won his PCA Main Event seat through an online qualifier at PokerStars, and eventually managed to turn a few bucks into $3 million. The only way to top that I suppose is by winning your seat through a freeroll and by going all the way to the top.
All the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Freeroll Fantasy qualifiers conclude on Dec 5th. The 3 Freeroll Fantasy Main Events take place on December 6th, so by the end of the day, the names of all 27 PCA seat winners shall be known.
