Full Tilt’s client software is available for download for free, in both Windows and Mac versions. The software is pretty hefty in size (compared to other online poker rooms, that is) weighing in at 13MB, but it shouldn’t cause anyone a problem. Once the installation package is downloaded (choose with the “browse” option where you want it to be copied), you can double click it to start the installation process.

If you hit “run” in the initial download dialogue that pops up as soon as you hit the download link on this page, you won’t have to worry about anything, the installation will be started up and it will download everything it needs, on the go.

Online poker traffic is often regarded as “suspicious” by firewalls and different anti-virus programs Make sure you grant the Full Tilt client access, or it will be blocked from reaching the server and installation will stop. If you have a firewall or an anti-virus which acts “funny” it’ll block your access to the lobby even if you do succeed in installing the program. Once the software is installed, you will need to create a user account to play for real money (or play money for that matter). While you’re not logged in, you can navigate around the lobby, and sit in on games in observer mode. You cannot join a table however.
