The LA Poker Classic Main Event will be held between February 26th and March 4th: PartyPoker is throwing an extra one million dollars into the pot for its customers.
PartyPoker players will be excited to know that the online site is to be running satellites for the LA Poker Classic, for which packages worth $14,000 will be allocated. However, the fun doesn't end there, as should a winner of one of these packages go on to win the Main Event, PartyPoker will give that player an added prize of a share of $1 million!
This seems a little too good to be true; let's face it, the LA poker Classic 2009 was won last year by Cornel Cimpan and no-one heard him complaining about the million and a half dollar plus prize that he walked away with. None-the-less, it is in fact true, PartyPoker wants to give its players that extra push to win and in this case it's a million dollar push. The million dollar prize will be shared out with half going to the winner, if they're a PartyPoker package winner, and the rest equally distributed to all the other PartyPoker players partaking in the event.
The satellites for the LA poker Classic will be running until February 7th with daily poker freerolls running twice a day leading through to daily qualifiers which in turn lead to the Daily WPT LA Poker Classic Satellite Qualifiers. From each of these tournaments which have a direct buy-in of $80, one in 10 players will go through to the weekly WPT LA Poker Classic Satellites that run each Sunday at 14:15 ET with a direct buy-in of $700 + $50.
The packages being made available by the poker site are worth $14,000 and cover the Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodation, and money towards travel and spending.
