The French know how to do loads of things; wine, cheese, frogs’ legs; this November they’re going to now how to do poker too as the WPT hits Amneville.
The World Poker tour will be arriving in France November and a whole bunch of members of the PartyPoker online poker community will be arriving at the same time with packages worth $8,000 each that are currently available at the online poker site.
The packages being made available by PartyPoker include the buy-in to the event which is $5,000 plus spending money and hotel accommodation. Each week the online poker site will be giving away at least one of these packages in their Sunday WPT Amneville Satellite tournament. The direct buy-in for the satellite is $400 + $25 and will run each Sunday at 15:20 ET up till October 16th. There is one package guaranteed from each satellite with one player in twenty-five winning one.
Of course if you don’t want to buy-in directly to the weekly satellite the online poker site is running various tournaments that could get you competing for a tournament for much less money. For starters there are daily freeroll tournaments running at the site. World Poker Tour Amneville Freeroll tournaments run each day and the top 50 players will gain access to a daily Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy. The Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy tournaments run daily with a buy-in of $2. There are also daily WPT Amneville Sub Qualifiers speed with a buy-in of $4.60 + $0.40. Members of the online poker community who are successful in these tournaments will get through to the WPT Amneville Satellite Qualifier which runs each day at 13:45 ET and has a direct buy-in of $42.50 + $3.50. One in ten players will go through to the main satellite.
Last year over 500 poker players took part and the prize pool exceeded $2 million.
