Face the stiffest competition and know the satisfaction of beating it in the Americas Cup of Poker at PokerStars.
The America Cups of Poker is not for the faint hearted. This tournament is not only worth a share of $150,000 in prize money but it will show who the best country in the Americas really is – in terms of poker play that is of course.
PokerStars has created a tournament that is as cut throat and exciting as you can get in which ultimately qualifiers will play alongside Team PokerStars Pro members in a grand live final to take place at the beautiful Iguazu Falls. Getting to represent your country and take part in that live final will be no easy feat however, so be prepared for a battle to the end. There will be 10 teams playing in the PokerStars Americas Cup of Poker – Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, USA, Venezuela and a team made up of the best of the rest, Rest of LATAM. All 10 of these teams will play each other between March 15th and April 14th where every aspect of their poker play will be tested. Players who wish to take part will play in poker freeroll, $0.11, and $1.10 buy-in level events. From all of these games the top 100 finishers will finish in the points and the winner of that fixture will be determined by which country’s players earned the most points. It is in each players person interest to earn as many points as possible not just so their country will win the fixture but in the end it is the players from each country that earn the top 4 number of points that will go on to represent their country in the final.
The live final has only 8 spots, and as you know there are 10 teams. The top six teams will automatically qualify, whilst the remaining four will have a play off for the remaining two spots.
