It might seem a little early to be thinking about your winter holiday plans, but PokerStars clearly likes to plan ahead, hence they’re offering PCA Packages right now.
2012 still seems like a long time away but you have to ask yourself if you’d prefer to start the year in a scarf and gloves, or lying under a palm tree sipping something with an umbrella? If the answer is the second one, and you’re a poker player then the PCA is the place for you.
PokerStars is not only putting on the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure but they are offering the most loyal members of their online poker community a way of getting there with only Frequent Player Points. The Frequent Player Points paradise path is dubbed the FPP Mega Path and this is how it works.
You might think that the FPP Mega Path is only for mega big players, but the truth is that there are qualifiers starting from as little as 4 FPPs. If you’re starting at the lowest buy-in satellites you’ll find there are 8 steps to the palm tree beaches, and six Mega Path Finals. Each Mega Path Final will award a member of the online poker community with a PCA package which is designed in order to cover not just the Main Event entry fee, but also accommodation, and expenses.
In order to find a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure qualifier simply go to the PokerStars lobby where you’ll find the Events tab. In the Events tab you’ll find PCA, and then FPP Satellites. The satellites are running at various points throughout the day and can be found for both high and low FPP buy-ins. As if you ever needed convincing, it’s worth remembering that in the 2010 PCA Darren Keyes who qualified through the FPP Mega Path finished in tenth position, walking away from the PCA not just with a decent tan, but with $150,000.
