If you've been watching PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge with a mixture of excitement and jealousy you'll be overjoyed to hear that the time has come to qualify for Season 2.
The Million Dollar Challenge has become the most successful TV poker show of all time, and can anyone say that they're truly surprised? Mixing celebrity names with poker legends and pitting them against the poker players that could be you and me, and all for a great big million dollar prize; these are the components of good TV. As the inaugural season comes to an end, watchers and players alike can take solace and hope in the fact that freerolls are running for season 2.
PokerStars is running four daily freeroll tournaments until January 10th, from which the top 10 finishers will be invited to send in their short videos. The videos are meant to give the selectors an idea of who you are, your personality, and why you should qualify to take part in the show. The freeroll winners whose videos are selected will be whisked away to an LA studio where they will meet the best of the best Daniel Negreanu, first advising them, and then playing against them.
Season 1 of PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge has proven to be an exciting show that people can't get enough of, and most interestingly it’s the stars that have been made through the show that people take seem to be the most enchanted by. Take for example Father Andrew Trapp, a catholic minister who has now raised $100,000 for a new church building; now a household name!
