Being the biggest online poker room out there, PokerStars wasn’t really concerned about making its sign-up bonus as attractive as possible in the past. They stuck to their old bonus and the industry ran right past them, pretty much overtaking them in this respect. The time to do something about the situation has come and PokerStars has plenty of gun-powder when it comes to fighting off the competition. Their new sign-up bonus offers a 100% match on players’ first deposits, up to $600. Now that’s pretty much right up there with the best bonus offers the industry can produce. What makes it stand out though is that its redemption requirements have been overhauled as well.
Players can now make three separate deposits to claim the entire bonus, and they have 6 full months to unlock it all. The only requirement is that they make their three deposits within a 60 day period.

Bonus redemption rates are very reasonable as well. The money will be transferred into players’ real money accounts $10 at a time. For each bonus dollar, players will have to generate 17 VPPs which means that every $10 batch requires a 170 VPP contribution. Players will be required to use a special bonus code to activate the new deal.

PokerStars is well aware that the new favorable terms of their sign-up bonus may short-change those who are already registered players. In order to offer their existing players some degree of compensation, PokerStars now gives a 50% match on re-deposits, up to a maximum of $300. The favorable terms of the first deposit bonus are largely valid for the re-deposit one as well. Players can make 3 deposits towards securing the total bonus, and they have to make those deposits within a 90 day period. A special bonus code has to be used for this one as well.
