PokerStars Christmas Festival to Feature More than $10 Million in Guarantees

PokerStars have proven numerous times in the past that they indeed know how to celebrate the Winter Holidays in style, and this year, the schedule of their Christmas Festival has already been announced. The Festival will hand out some $10 million in guarantees and given the reputation of the site and the number of players their promotions attract, this is probably a minimum. The Festival will culminate in a
Sunday Million (taking place on December 27), which features a guarantee of no less than $5 million. Indeed, the fact that the guaranteed prize-pool has been bumped from the usual $1 million to 5 times that, means that the winner will walk away with a haul of at least $500k, but - again - the eventual top prize will certainly be much bigger.

The buy-in to the special Sunday Million is the usual $215. Needless to say, qualification is possible through a number of satellites too, some of which are already running.
There's much more to the Christmas Festival than the $5 million Sunday Million though. The Daily Double Jackpot festival has already kicked off yesterday and it will run the length of 84 events. It alone will hand out some $4.5 million in guaranteed prizes. During this festival, those who win two events of the same buy-in on the same day get a $1 million bonus prize. A total of 6 tournaments run each day, structured into 3 pairs.
On December 1, a Christmas Calendar will get going as well, featuring a host of attractive promotions like Milestone Hands, Golden SNGs, challenges, PCA giveaways, Mega Bonuses and freerolls among others.
