About Americas Cardroom
This 2016 review of the world's only US-facing major online poker site is obviously full of praise in regards to the promotions and weekend majors offered by the site.
Hailed as one of the friendliest and fastest-growing online poker communities in the world, Americas Cardroom is a relatively recent entry into the chaotic yet vibrant world of online poker. The site joined the Yatahay poker network in August 2011. While the Americas Cardroom brand isn’t a new one either, the Yatahay network which currently powers the poker room has quite a bit of history to look back on: it’s been providing online gaming services for 11 years now. Americas Cardroom is proud to continue that tradition, by offering such services to the entire world, without excluding anyone.
Barely has America’s Cardroom entered the stage, it’s already looking to woo the public with feats only old and established online poker rooms pull off: it is sponsoring a major live poker event, the Punta Cana Poker Classic which features a prize-pool of $500k.

Americas Cardroom Software
As said above, the software which powers Americas Cardroom is the Yatahay software, its updated version at that. The new software version features enhanced graphics and a general feel that is completely different from the old software. The graphics are still not technically impressive, but the tables do have a solid feel to them. As far as poker software goes, simplicity is seldom a sign of lack of functionality, and that’s exactly the case here too. Despite the graphical simplicity, there’s plenty of functionality. As a matter of fact, everything one could expect from a modern online poker room is there: there are resizable tables to aid with multi-tabling, cascading multi-tabling, straddle tables as well as fold/show functionality. The software is solid and stable under all conditions, even when pushed to the multi-tabling limit.
Players can take notes on other players and hand histories are available for later analysis too. There’s also a sophisticated anti-collusion system in place.

Americas Cardroom tournaments 2018-2019
Americas Cardroom offers the usual selection of SNGs and MTTs, although they do say that they have one of the ‘world’s largest tournament selections’ on offer. Indeed, in addition to the regular payout structures/tournament rules, they have special tournaments too which are either hand based or time based. There are chip and chair tournaments as well as bounty tournaments.
Bounty tourneys are fairly standard events where players get the chance to earn extra money by knocking out special opponents who have bounties on their heads. Time based tournaments are fairly standard too. What’s special about them is the fact that they have a starting time as well as an ending time set. The player with the most chips when the time runs out is the winner.
Hand based tournaments are quite similar, with the difference that they end when a set number of hands have been dealt.
The tournament buy-ins run the length of the $0.25 - $160 scale, giving everyone the opportunity to partake in some hot tourney action.
Americas Cardroom special offers 2018-2019
The Free Parking promotion is hailed as a special feature at Americas Cardroom and indeed, it may be considered that but if you ask us it’s just a spin on your regular bonus-redeeming loyalty reward scheme. The Free Parking meter is visible in the Rewards tab and it fills up as players generate FPPs through real money play. Once it fills up, the system is ready to hand you your first $10 Free Parking reward. You need to manually claim it though, buy clicking on a button that activates as soon as the requirements are fulfilled.
The $1.5k guaranteed Deep Stack is another rather unique feature. The buy-in to this Freezeout event is $50+45, for which players receive a stack of 5k chips (hence the name of the tournament). The $1.5k guaranteed Deep Stack takes place every Saturday and Sunday.
Americas Cardroom Accepts US players
Americas Cardroom accepts US players. It would be quite a contradiction and a letdown if a poker room with such a name did not in fact accept US players. The Yatahay poker network on the whole is a US friendly operation and as a member, Americas Cardroom falls into line with the network policy.
