About Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker
The history behind the new Full Tilt Poker is an extremely long and rather eventful one, to say the least. A couple of years ago, the online poker site was the victim of the infamous Black Friday moves of the Department of Justice, which essentially ended up closing the site to the US public and not only, locking up all its financial assets and essentially putting its entire existence on hold for more than a year. As it turned out in the wake of the above said Black Friday indictments, many of Full Tilt Poker's executives had treated the operation like a great international Ponzi scheme. The only way Full Tilt poker was going to go online again was if some sort of corporate entity purchased it, repaying its non-US players in full and re-launching the site. After an emotionally exhausting and pathetic fiasco during which French conglomerate Groupe Bernard Tapie ended up stepping aside, Full Tilt Poker's old nemesis, PokerStars, came to the rescue of the players, acquiring the operation and eventually successfully re-launching it in November 2012. Players returned in droves almost immediately and nowadays Full Tilt Poker has been restored to the top cash game destination it had been before the Black Friday ordeal.

Full Tilt Poker Software

Even before its 2011 shut-down, Full Tilt Poker boasted the best software in online poker. The site had a tremendous number of professional players in its fold, and while most of these guys - as it later turned out - did little more than collect their commissions, some of them were busy pretty much around the clock improving, tweaking and continuously updating the software which thusly did indeed grow into a point of reference for the online poker industry. Everything that's been piled into the software over the years has of course been retained, and when the site re-launched in 2012, the software was left pretty much unchanged with the exception of a few minor tweaks here and there. It is therefore safe to say that Full Tilt Poker is still the beneficiary of the best online poker software in the world. It is after all Full Tilt Poker where the first fast-folding poker games known as Rush Poker were introduced. Since then, other sites (including PokerStars) have copied the concept as well, but to give credit where credit's due: Full Tilt Poker were the original inventors. Given that it is indeed the best destination for online cash games, Full Tilt Poker has obviously paid a great deal of attention to multi-tabling. The site also offers exclusive features like multi-entry tournaments and Rush Poker multi-table tournaments.

Full Tilt Poker Promotions and Best Bonus

Full Tilt Poker's sign-up bonus is a pretty standard 100% match deal. The maximum on the bonus is $600, which means that those who deposit $600 will get $600 more in their bonus money accounts. The deal is spread over the first three deposits that players make, which means that in order to make the most of the bonus, players should deposit $200 three times. In order to qualify for the deal, players have to make the three deposits within a 60 day period. Bonus redemption is done in the old-fashioned way: in order to have their bonus money transferred to their real money accounts, players have to play in real money cash games where they generate poker rake and real money tournaments, where they pay tournament fees. By doing that, they will earn Full Tilt Points. The bonus money is released in 10% increments or in $20 chunks, whichever of the two is the smaller. For every bonus dollar, players have to generate 25 Full Tilt Points. The validity of the bonus is only four months, but given the relatively reasonable redemption rate, active players should not have any problems getting their bonuses unlocked. Newly registered players will also be able to play in the First Depositors’ Freeroll Series which offers a prize pool of $50,000. Also in the welcome bonus package is a tournament ticket worth $2.25. Full Tilt Poker used to be a genuine promotions-bonanza back in the day. While things haven't yet gotten back to that level in this respect, it is safe to say that Full Tilt's promotions section is a rather attractive one again: there are all sorts of freerolls, guaranteed prize pool events, qualifiers to live poker tournaments and major online events like the FTOPS.

Full Tilt Poker Tournaments 2018-2019

Since its re-launch, Full Tilt Poker has apparently been turned into a cash game destination. The site has always been the scene of some of the most heated confrontations between the world’s best cash game players, and PokerStars are hell bent on restoring that status. They have effectively encouraged their high-stakes cash game players to head back to Full Tilt Poker and play there. With all that, the tournaments section of the site has received little bit of tender loving care as well. The $350,000 guarantee has become one of the weekend majors together with similar caliber events offered by PokerStars. The event is part of Full Tilt Poker's Big Money Sundays, a promotion which has revived Full Tilt Poker's famed Sunday Mulligan and the Sunday Brawl. Qualifiers and sub-qualifiers are of course available for their $350,000 guarantee, making it possible for players to earn a seat for small change.

Every Monday, there is a $1,000 buy-in multi-table tournament which features a guarantee of $75,000. Besides these outstanding events, there are of course all sorts of multi table tournaments as well as SNGs running all the time.

Full Tilt Poker Special Offers 2018-2019

When it comes to special offers and deals Full Tilt Poker is quite impossible to beat. As the original creators of fast-folding poker, Full Tilt Poker were fully aware that other operators had caught up with them in this respect, during the hiatus they were forced to take. With that in mind, they introduced several innovations especially aimed at their Rush Poker tables. While in the beginning, players could only play Rush Poker cash games, now they can actually engage in fast-folding multi-table tournaments and even in multi-entry tournaments.

Another unique angle which Full Tilt Poker is currently pushing is the one tied to their team of in-house professional players. While they only currently have three players representing the brand, namely Viktor Blom, Gus Hansen and Tom Dwan, Full Tilt Poker has made sure that the rank-and-file players can now actually lock horns with their high-profile representatives. Indeed, Hansen and Blom have already made a few forays into the world of small-stakes cash games at the site.

In addition to all that, Full Tilt Poker have recently launched their FullTiltPoker.eu, a Malta-based site which makes it possible for players from several European countries to take home tax-free winnings from the tables.

Full Tilt Poker Do Not Accept US Players

After the Black Friday fiasco, Full Tilt Poker have definitely stopped accepting US players. As a matter of fact, US players have still not been repaid their monies, but according to the settlement that the site has reached with the Department of Justice, the refunding of US players is now the DoJ's responsibility. Given PokerStars' recent moves to acquire a land-based casino in New Jersey, a masterstroke which may allow the brand to one day return to the US market, Full Tilt Poker may soon in fact end up accepting US players again - this time legally.

Full Tilt Poker Support

Full Tilt Poker's support used to be slow back in the days but the response times on their e-mails have improved dramatically since PokerStars took over the roost. The interesting thing however is that the site only offers e-mail support still, practically looking right past the advantages of live chat/phone support. There is a comprehensive FAQ section in their Help and Support Center, which does indeed answer quite a few of the most common player problems, however when it comes to actually contacting a Full Tilt Poker support staff member, all players have is a bug report form and an e-mail address.
