Celebrate American Independence with the Freedom Tourneys at UB Poker and then give a little back by participating in the Second Sunday Benefit tournament.

The 4th of July marks a day of independence, the overthrowing of a foreign yoke and the birth of America as an independent country; a country in which freedom will be held as sacred and cherished forever. To celebrate the day, UB poker will be running Freedom Tourneys with free poker play and low buy-in tournaments resulting in prizes worth a share of $200k.

The Freedom Tourneys will get started at UB Poker at 12 pm ET on July 4th with a free poker tournament from which the top 20 finishers will be given a seat in the regular UB Poker $200k Guaranteed tournament that will be held at 4 pm ET. If you miss the free poker tournament or simply don’t like freeroll tournaments, the Freedom Tourneys continue at 1.30 pm ET with a $4 + 0.40 $200k Satellite. From the satellite tournament a further 20 players will win free seats for that $200k guaranteed tournament.

It is hard to put a price on freedom, but many people believe that giving to others is a way of celebrating our freedom, and if we can have a good time along the way then all the better. The UB poker Second Sunday Benefit tournament this month will be raising money for the Crystal King Foundation, and this is what it’s all about. Members of the UB Poker online poker community are invited to take part in the charity tournament which will run on July 11th at 14.45 ET. The buy-in for the tournament is $10 and you’ll be joined by Tiffany Michelle who not only appeared in the Amazing Race but is also a Team UB member. The more money that is collected in the tournament the more money will be donated to charity, as UB will match the entries. Each month a different charity benefits from the tournament, and this month the Crystal King Benefit Foundation has been chosen. Crystal King was involved in a serious traffic accident two months ago, as were here 3 year old twins. One of the twins, Caden was killed, whilst the
other twin Camrea-Rose and Crystal herself survived but with major injuries. Tiffany Michelle has chosen to host the tournament to benefit the family in order to help them in a very practical way through this nightmare.

In addition raising money in order to help the King family, players will also be playing for a seat in the weekly $200k guaranteed tournament, and who ever knocks Tiffany Michelle out will receive a free seat at a $7k guaranteed tournament to be held on the same day.
