Mounties, Maple Syrup; what ever your stereotype of Canada is, you might have to refresh it. The Poker Pro Canada Classic is nearing and UB Poker is offering packages.
Come January 27th the Four Aces Poker Club in Montreal will be bustling with poker stars and you could be amongst them, taking part in the Poker Pro Canada Classic II. UB Poker is offering the members of its online poker community super satellites and freeroll tournaments for a package to the event worth $2,500. Each of the packages includes the tournament buy-in of $1,500 + $150 plus $850 for accommodation and Montreal travel. There are loads of these packages to win – 24 in total, but only 2 weeks to do it in, so there’s no time to lose.
There are three ways of getting your hands on one of those packages: Regional freerolls, exclusive VIP tourneys, and super satellites. The free poker play tournaments run on Sundays at 4.05 pm and Wednesdays at 8.05 pm ET. These are of course free poker play opportunities, and each results in one Poker Pro Canada Classic package.
There are 2 exclusive VIP tourneys, and both will run on Sunday January 16th; one at 6 pm and one at 7 pm ET. To enter either of these tournaments you need 1,000 points, and each one will result in 2 packages being awarded. Each of the tournaments are open to different players depending on their VIP status and geographic location.
Finally there are the super satellites. There are super satellites running at UB Poker on January 2nd, 5th, 9th, 12th, 13th, and 16th. These tournaments have buy-ins of either $200 or $300 and each won awards either one or three packages.
The First Poker Pro Canada Classic was held earlier this year and attracted around 250 players and a prize pool of $369,000. It was won by Oliver “OB” Baksic who walked away with $96,400.
