WSOP-like mini tournament series are apparently increasingly popular as poker room after poker room organizes its own series of online events. Betsson’s GSOP (Grand Series of Poker) was first held in November last year and it proved to be a resounding success. Building on that success, Betsson in prepared to offer the series no fewer than three times in 2009. One GSOP will be held in the spring (around April), another one in the summer and a third one next winter. The GSOP has a main event too, called Grand Tournament. Of course, Betsson offers online qualifiers to the Grand Tournament, which runs only during the GSOP. Some of these sub-sub qualifiers run from as little as a few dollars.
