2010 WSOP Main Event – a look at the November Nine

Day 8 of the 2010 Big Dance is finally over and the November Nine has been set. 9 lucky, not to mention skilled players will return in November to do battle for the biggest title in poker: the gold bracelet worth more than any other gold bracelet: the Main Event title.
It only takes a superficial look over the final table participants to tell that there are no amateurs in this field. The next Jamie Gold will probably have to wait because these guys are all pros and they’re all dead serious about the game.
Joseph Cheong, from La Mirada, CA had started the final day with the chip lead. He had no problems conserving his advantage. Cheong is a poker pro and he has a WSOP-C gold ring to show for his efforts thus far.
Jonathan Duhamel, from Quebec, is the one carrying the largest stack of chips over to the November final table. He will start with almost 66 million chips. This one will be his 4th cash finish in this year’s Series.
John Dolan from Florida, has also had 3 cashes in this year’s Series and 3 others in past editions. He’s been one of the most consistent players during this Main Event. He will take a stack of 46.25 million chips to the November final table.
Jason Sentl of MN will be the official short-stack of the final table, his existence the most endangered of all.
37 year old Cuong Nguyen will be the oldest player at the table. Nguyen has some Main Event cash experience as he finished 614th in the 2008 Big Dance.
The player all eyes will be on is Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi though. He rides a relatively short stack into battle, but based on the skills shown this Series, he has to be the favorite for many people.
Filippo Candio from Italy is the first Italian ever to make a
WSOP Main Event final table.
John Racener of FL and Matthew Jarvis of BC round up the lineup. Racener has been one of the most successful WSOP-C players for years now.
