2010 WSOP Main Event – day 6

Day 6 of the
2010 WSOP Main Event was a truly remarkable one. The reason: Michael Mizrachi. The oldest of the Mizrachi Brothers (two of whom had already been bounced from the Main Event on previous days), won the opening event of the WSOP and he is now looking to close the Series out in a similar fashion: he took the chip lead during Day 6.
After both he and his brother Robert made the final table of the $50k Players Championship event, Michael saw all three of his brothers sneak into the money in the Big Dance. The first to bust, shortly after the bubble was Eric. Danny followed him, and towards the end of day 6, Robert hit the rail as well, leaving Michael the sole representative of the family in the
poker tournament. Michael however did just fine. He finished day 6 with a stack of almost 6 million chips, having started it with only 2 million.
The hand that was particularly important for Mizrachi, was a 3 way one in which he tangled with Getty Mattingsley and Duy Le. Le opened the betting and Mattingsley was quick to raise him. Mizrachi just called and the BB thought it wise to get out of the way. Le made the call too and the flop fell 8,10,4. The Kh fell on the turn and Mattingsley decided to up the stakes a little. Both his opponents called to see the 5s hit the river. Le fired out a massive bet which forced Mattingsley out. Mizrachi only had a pair of 7s, but he made the call nonetheless to see Le flip over J,9.
