2011 WSOP – Antonin Teisseire Wins $5k Triple Chance NL Holdem Event

Day 33 of the 2011 WSOP was again a prolific one bracelet-wise. No fewer than 3 of the coveted jewelry-pieces have found owners on this day. The first one of them went to Antonin Teisseire, the winner of the $5k Triple Chance NL Holdem Event.
Only 4 players returned to action on the final day of event #50. Darryl Ronconi, Adam Geyer (who had started the final table with the largest stack), Erich Froehlich (the pro who used to play at PokerStars) and the eventual winner: Teisseire himself.

Froehlich was the first player to bite the dust as the action kicked off. He happened upon pocket Jacks and he pushed all his chips into the middle looking to double up on them. Teisseire made the call with A,Ko and proceeded to make a pair of Ks on the flop for the lead. The turn and the river blanked out and Froehlich was bounced.
Adam Geyer took a nasty hit from Darryl Ronconi who beat his set of 5s with a turned straight, and even though he had started the final table with the largest stack, he suddenly found himself with his back against the wall, forced to shove on a Kc, 7c he picked up.
Teisseire was once again the one who made the call, this time with A,9o. The board completely blanked out and the heads-up stage was set.

Ronconi had a marginal lead of about 300k chips when the final sprint began. Teisseire wasted little time catching up though, and soon he was ahead. Then he shot ahead having built up a stack of 10.5 million to his opponent’s 1.5 million.
With his back against the wall, Ronconi had no choice but to shove all-in, on a Q,8o he picked up. Teisseire had an A,8o and he made the call right away. The board gave him a Q-high flush, handing him the title, the bracelet and the $825k prize.
