2012 WSOP – Day 20 Report

The 20th day of the 2012 WSOP marked a slowdown in action. While the previous day had awarded 3 bracelets, day 20 was a winner-less day. Four events rolled on, but none of them played down to a winner. Event #27, the $1.5k HORSE one saw 18 players return to action, set on playing down to a winner. Eventually, that goal proved to be way too difficult to achieve. With 3 players remaining in contention, it was decided to table the final stretch of the action. Ylon Schwartz was the one who had the largest stack going into the day and he used his large stack skillfully, preserving his advantage and finishing the day with the most chips. The other two players who will return for the title bout are Stephen Chidwick and David Chiu. Allen Cunningham and Cliff Josephy were among the players who bit the dust during the day.

Event #28, the $2.5k NL Holdem 4-handed event, saw 86 players return to the tables. With the money bubble looming on the horizon, Brendon Rubie had the largest stack at his disposal. Nick Schulman turned out to be the bubble boy. At the end of it all, the field reached the 8-handed final table. Rubie took full advantage of his chip lead and managed to finish the event still well ahead of the pack. He had 1.6 million chips bagged. Second place man James Schaaf is currently riding a stack of 1.1 million.

Event #29, the $1k Seniors NL Holdem event broke all previous attendance records. More than 4,000 players showed up, turning the event into the largest day 1 WSOP side-event ever.
When the day was called, the field was a mere 39 spots from the money bubble.

The 4th Day 20 event was the $1.5k 2-7 Lowball one. 285 players registered for this one, successfully playing down to 66 by the end of the day. Michael Mizrachi finished day 1 with the chip lead.

I think I have an idea for you that MAY work. Around where I live there is a live poker league in tnrevas and restaraunts that advertise for free poker and it is. Now, from time to time we hold CHARITY events where the buy in is say $60 and the charity gets $10 of it and the players winnings come from the rest. Should the Charity HIRE You to run the event, you could take a portion of the buy in also. $45 to players $10 to charity $5 to house. The players will then eat food and drink while playin
