2014 Aussie Millions Main Event – Final Table Reached

The 4th and penultimate day of the Aussie Millions’ Main Event saw 36 players return to the tables of the Crown Melbourne, with the objective of playing down to the final table. That objective was indeed accomplished: the end of the day found 7 players standing, with Ami Barer in the lead. Barer had some 6.5 million chips bagged, almost twice as much as second place man Vincent Rubianes, who finished with 3.86 million.
A whole bunch of other “name” players have also made the cut. Sorel Mizzi will return for the final day, with a stack of 2.83 million chips, as will Darren Rabinowitz (2.36 million chips) and Scott Seiver, who will be the official short-stack of the final table with 855k chips to his name.
Jake Balsiger and Andrew Phaedonas are the other two final table participants.

Day 4 of the poker tournament spelt heartbreak for many of the players who made their way back to the tables. The first victim of the day was Rhys Jones, who was rewarded with AUD$30k for his efforts. Martin Rowe fell next, in 35th place, followed to the rail by Jae Kyung Sim. Team Pokerstars Pro members Raymond Wu and Liv Boeree bit the dust too. Wu was bounced in 33rd place, while Boeree fared a little better, hitting the sidelines in 28th and picking up a little more money (AUD$35k). Boeree’s last chips went into the middle on a pair of 8s. The one who made the call with pocket Js no less, was Patrick Crivell. The board fell nothing but a bunch of bricks and Boeree was done.
Jonathan Duhamel followed her to the rail in 25th place, ejected by Jeff Rossiter. John Juanda was sent packing too, in 23rd place, after his pocket rockets fell to a lesser starting hand.
