2014 WSOP – Brian Yoon Joins Winners’ Circle on Day 23

Wednesday, the 23rd day of the 2014 WSOP, saw two more bracelets awarded, one of which ended up in poker pro Brian Yoon’s possession. Yoon’s triumph came in event #35, the $5k 8-handed NL Holdem one, meaning that he managed to add a coveted piece of WSOP jewelry to his trophy case for the second consecutive year.
The other bracelet of the day went to Steven Wolansky, who bested none other than Joseph Cheong heads-up in event #36, the $1.5k 2-7 Draw Lowball event.
Besides the two above said events, three more poker tournaments saw action, none of which played down to a winner though.
Sign up to Full Tilt Poker and use their online qualifiers to make your way to the 2014 WSOP Main Event as well as to other high-profile live tournaments.

Event #5 was originally meant to be a 4-day affair, but on day three, in addition to only 23 players returning to the tables at kickoff, the action turned out to be fast and furious. As a result of that, a winner emerged before the end of the day, making the planned 4th day of the tournament redundant.
Given the sizable buy-in, the field was still loaded with high-profile pros at the beginning of Day 3. Jeff Madsen was the one holding the largest stack and he had the eyes of the press on him, as he was chasing down his 4th WSOP bracelet.
Olivier Busquet, Ravi Raghavan and Eric Froehlich were in contention at the beginning of the day too, but they were all eliminated early. The player Yoon went up against heads-up was Josh Arieh. The winner’s share of the prize-pool turned out to be $633.3k, almost as much as the haul he had picked up for his Little One for One Drop win last year.
Full Tilt Poker is the online poker industry’s best destination for cash games. Their tournament selection hasn’t been too shabby either though lately.
