Friday marked the first day when all the remaining players involved in the $10k Main Event of the 2014 WSOP came together under the same roof to play further down towards the money-bubble. Four and a half levels of action went into the day, at the end of which 291 players were left standing. The one who finished the day with the largest stack was Matthew Haugen, who ended up with a little more than 2.8 million chips.
Zach Jiganti had a respectable stack at the end of the day too: 2.36 million chips. Jiganti was followed by Griffin Benger, with 2.32 million chips. Dan Smith and Brian Hastings both made the top 10 too.

While some players were having a field-day, others, like Phil Ivey weren’t doing well at all. Despite the fact that he had the largest stack at the end of Day 2, Ivey busted out on Day 4. The one responsible for his demise was John Kabbaj. The board was 9,9,2,2 and Ivey had an A,K against Kabbaj’s pocket Js. Ivey was the one who pushed all-in on the turn and Kabbaj made the call. The river card was of no help and thus Ivey’s
2014 Main Event run came to an abrupt halt in 430th place.
Randy Ohel and Olivier Busquet were among those eliminated too. Angel Guillen, Vinny Pahuja and Joe Kuether didn’t fare much better either.
The beginning of the action saw 746 players return to the tables. With only 53 eliminations separating the field from the money, a true frenzy ensued, which saw no fewer than 3 players bite the dust on the very bubble.
