The 2015 edition of the
European Poker Tour's Monte Carlo Grand Final is just around the corner, and as always, it is set out to be one of the greatest live poker festivals of the year. As always, the Grand Final will feature a number of top attractions, like its €10.6k Main Event and the €100k Super High Roller. There's a more run-of-the-mill high-roller version as well, the €25k one, which is obviously also high on the list of attractions. The scene of the action will be the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort as always and the organizers are obviously expecting record-breaking starting fields. The event to keep an eye on in this respect is the €100k Super High Roller, which is expected to be bigger than ever. According to the main sponsor of the stop, PokerStars, 40 players have already announced their participation in the event and a few more are expected to join the fray. Apparently, there will be some new faces at the green felt too.
Sign up to PokerStars and use their online qualifiers to make your way to the EPT's Monaco Grand final in style.
Obviously, the field bellying up to the tables of the Super High Roller will be stacked as always. PokerStars' Daniel Negreanu will be there, together with Antonio Esfandiari, Isaac Haxton, Dan Smith, Phil Ivey and Sam Trickett, among other similar heavy-hitters.
Last year, the event saw 62 buy-ins go into the middle. The very first edition of the Super High Roller had just 45 entries.
The €25k High Roller is expected to generate a large starting-field, as well as a massive prize-pool. Although prize-pool-wise, the High Roller isn't expected to surpass the Main Event, action-wise, it is indeed likely to be much more spectacular.
Play at PokerStars: besides their live event qualifiers, they have scores of other interesting and lucrative promotions for new and existing players alike.
