2015 WCOOP $51k Super High Roller - Ben Tollerene Wins

The final 8 players returned to the virtual tables on Monday afternoon to play down to a winner in online poker's biggest buy-in game ever, the 2015 WCOOP's $51k Super High Roller. The one with the largest stack at the beginning of what would turn out to be the last day of the poker tournament was Mike McDonald. It was clear for everyone that despite having reached the final table, two of the eight players would still go home empty-handed. Despite his large chip advantage, McDonald wasn't able to properly capitalize on his position and - though he didn't fall outside the money - he had to settle for a relatively small cash of $172.2k - all his 5th place finish was worth.
The one who walked away with the goods was McDonald's fellow poker pro Ben Tollerene, who took home $616.5k after a three-way deal.

The player Tollerene bested heads-up for the title was Jose Angel Latorre, who had to settle for $560.4k - interestingly, due to the above said deal, not the second-biggest prize of the tournament. The second-biggest pile of change went to 3rd place finisher Nikita Bodyakovskiy, who took home $594k for his efforts.
The beginning of the day saw only two "nameless" players at the table, and while one of them failed to make the money, Russia's "Nopaleva" made it all the way to 4th place, picking up $239k. The player who was the first to bust in the money, Fedor Holz, fell right before McDonald, taking home a $126.5k min-cash.
The event drew 46 entries and it generated a prize-pool of $2.3 million.
