The 28th day of the 2015 WSOP saw a bracelet awarded as the $50k Poker Players' Championship event roared on. The sole bracelet winner of the day was the winner of the Seniors' Event, Jon Andlovec from Carson City, Nevada. The $1k Super Seniors'
NL Holdem event (#43 of the Series), saw a massive starting field of 1,533 players belly up to the tables. The resulting prize-pool tipped the scale at $1.37 million. The third and final day of the action saw 25 players return to the tables. The sailing was everything but smooth for the eventual winner though, as several bracelet-holders made the final table of the tournament. In the end, the heads-up stage of the event saw Andlovec go up against Rod Pardey Jr. The last hand of the event saw Andlovec's 3,7o best Pardey's A,8o for the win and the $262.2k top prize.

Andlovec, who is 70, said he would use the prize-money for his daughter's elaborate wedding.
Meanwhile, at the tables of the $50k Poker Players' Championship event, the field played down to the final 14 players. Abe Mosseri was the one who finished the day with the largest stack, having accumulated 1.2 million chips. Matthew Ashton from Liverpool, already the possessor of a $50k PPC title, is currently second, looking to add another bracelet to his trophy-case. He will start the penultimate day of the event with a little over a million chips to his name. At the beginning of Day 3, Michael Mizrachi was in contention too, but he eventually failed to advance. He was bounced, together with Phil Galfond, Scott Seiver and David Benyamine. Jason Mercier survived on a short-stack.
