2016 EPT Dublin - Samuel Panzica Wins €10k High Roller

The 2016 PokerStars EPT's Dublin €10k High Roller saw some 185 people put up the buy-in, looking to grab a piece of what would turn out to be a very large pie indeed at the end. The third and final day of action saw 13 of these players return to the tables of the Royal Dublin Society, all of them safe in the knowledge that they would not be forced to go home empty-handed. The start-of-the-day chip leader was Russia's Sergey Lebedev, but in the end, when the dust settled, it was not him standing with all the chips piled up in front of him. Still - taking advantage of his large stack - the Russian put in a nice final table run, running out of steam in 3rd place and picking up €184.6k for his efforts.

The first victim of the day was Diego Ventura, who started out as the short-stack and despite a valiant double-up, ended up losing all his chips to head to the rail in 13th. He was followed out the door by Sam Chartier in 12th and Christoph Vogelsang in 11th. After Jerry Odeen bit the dust in 10th, the unofficial final table was set. Rocco Palumbo and William Aruda were bounced next, followed by Timothy Adams and Ryan Riess.
Davidi Kitai and Emil Patel were the first two players to take home 6-figure prizes, as they were sent packing in 5th and 4th places respectively. Lebedev fell in 3rd as said above, leaving the eventual winner to battle it out with Akin Tuna of Germany. In the end, Samuel Panzica took down some €375.7k for his win.
