The Black Diamond Poker Open will be kicking off at Bovada Poker on February 4th and it will run through to March 24th. With guaranteed prizes amounting to $850,000 the BDPO is bringing a taste of offline poker championships to those who play online poker for money. The series is made up of 86 events covering the spectrum of games making up the Contender Series and the Championship Series, with something for every pocket, and more than 2,000 satellites being run.
The BDPO Contender Series will run from February 10th till February 24th. The series will get started with the Contender Series Kick Off Event worth $10k, on Sunday February 10th. The Contender series is geared towards those who play holdem at micro to mid stakes levels, and will culminate in a $30k Main Event to be held on February 24th. The Championship Series will get started on March 10th with the Championship Series Kickoff Event with its guaranteed prize pool of $25k and is geared towards those who play holdem at mid to high stakes levels. The Championship Series will conclude with its own main event to be held on March 24th with a $250k guaranteed prize pool. In addition to the Kick Off Events and Main Events, both series also feature a second chance tournament. In total there are 43 events making up each of the series in the Black Diamond Poker Open, and that’s even before the qualifiers and satellites are already up and running at Bovada Poker.
