A Second Look at the 2013 WSOP November Nine – Part 7

Amir Lehavot is the player sitting in seat #5 of the 2013 WSOP November Nine final table. The 38-year-old will be the oldest player in action, come November. Born in Israel, Lehavot has been living in the US for a while. He earned his engineering degree at the University of Texas at Austin and he will definitely put the analytical side of his mind to the test during the final table hostilities. He has been playing professionally for quite a number of years so he is definitely not a newcomer to the top-level live poker stage.
Most of his noteworthy poker results came since 2009. He has logged no fewer than 12 WSOP cash finishes during the 4 years, taking home a total of $818.4k of WSOP money. He earned his first WSOP bracelet in 2011, when he won the $10k PL Holdem Championship event (#7 of that year’s Series). He beat out a high profile final table on his way to the title then, which included players like Sam Stein, Stephen Chidwick and Jarred Solomon. He was rewarded with $573.4k, the biggest score of his poker career, up until this upcoming November of course, when he’s already guaranteed to take home at least $733.2k.

The WSOP wasn’t the only place where his poker talents were lavishly rewarded. In 2011, he finished 4th in the WPT’s LA Poker Classic, taking home a $421.6k prize. He won a $1.9k NL Holdem event of the Bay 101 Shooting Star, picking up another $140.5k. 2011 was obviously a monster year for him. On top of the above said results, he also finished 15th in the WSOPE Main Event, for a $32.9k prize.
Besides the live circuit, Lehavot has also played and won quite a bit online too, mostly at PokerStars.
