ACOP HK$250k High Roller – Senh Ung Wins

The APPT’s ACOP HK$250k High Roller wrapped up on Sunday, together with the ACOP Main Event which lasted a day longer than initially planned. The second winner to emerge in a day at the PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams was Senh Ung, who bested Predrag Lekovic heads-up for the title.
Unlike the Main Event, the High Roller only took two days to play down to its winner. The beginning of the second and final day of the tournament saw 15 players return to the tables. Given that only the top 5 positions were paying ones, the action was fierce from the get-go.
Mikael Thuritz was the first victim of the day, followed to the rail by Chunlei Zhou in the very next hand. Aidan Tam was the one responsible for both eliminations. The next player to get more closely acquainted with the sidelines was Yan Tsang. He was followed out the proverbial door by Winfred Yu. Yu was arguably the highest-profile player to fall on day two. He was eliminated by Vladimir Troyanovskiy after losing a coin-flip with A,Qo against the Russian’s pocket deuces.

PokerStars’ own Eugene Katchalov was on the chopping block on day 2 too: he pushed his last chips into the middle on an A,Qo against Jonathan Karamalikis’ pocket Qs. No Ace fell on the board and the last representative of Team PokerStars pro was gone.
Paul Newey was the one bounced next, followed in turn by Kyle Cheong and Brandon Meyers. Meyers’ day two run was an interesting one, given that he had the largest stack at the beginning of the hostilities. He faded away in 8th place, after he had his pocket rockets cracked by Aidan Tam.
The bubble-boy was Troyanovskiy. Jonathan Karamalikis was the first player to fall in the money. Jeff Rossiter and Aidan Tam finished in 4th and 3rd respectively.
