Antonius clinches durrrr challenge lead again

Just as it was beginning to look like Tom Dwan was back in the driver seat of his $1 million challenge series against Patrik Antonius, Antonius bounced back with an excellent session the end of which found the Finn $142,000 in the black.
So far, almost 12,000 hands have been logged of the projected 50,000 and the two players seem so evenly matched that it will probably be a lucky hand or two that will eventually decide the winner.
Obviously keen to get things going, the two found time for a challenge session for the 4th consecutive day.

Their latest session began with a 30 minute give and take tussle at the end of which the first six-figure pot unfolded. The hand began with a preflop raise from Antonius to the usual $1,200. That set off a re-raise contest which pumped the pot to $36,000 before the flop. After the flop (10h, 8h, 4d) it was Dawn who took matters into hand with a $36,000 bet. That was Antonius’ cue to shove all-in for all the $53,493 he had left.
Dwan made the call and showed top two pair with a straight draw. Antonius had a bunch of gutshot straight draws. The 6 on the turn filled up his straight and the A on the river meant the pot belonged to him.

Another $154,771 pot developed later on, and it also headed into Antonius’ stack as he made a full house to beat Dwan’s two pairs and gutshot straight draw.
The largest pot of the session came shortly after the above one. Antonius kicked off the preflop betting and they ended up $3,600 each by the time the flop fell. The Jc,8h,3h prompted a $4,800 bet from Dwan and Antonius called him. The 5s on the river proved to be the catalyst of the pot as it set off a few to and fro re-raises which eventually got both players all-in, but not after the 4s came on the river.
Dwan’s Qs,Qh,10h,9h was no match for Antonius’ 8-high straight though and the Finn took down the third largest pot of the series, a $196,655 monster.
The last monster pot of the session, a $80,691 one was also taken down by Antonius.
