APPT Seoul – Lim Wins

21 players returned to the tables of the APPT’s Seoul Main Event on the final day of the poker tournament. Although the final table was mostly made up of relative unknowns, one “name” player managed to sneak into the final stretch of the event. Casey Kastle was unfortunate enough to become the first victim of the final table though. One of the short-stacks, he still had more chips than Sung Soo Chon, but he bit the dust earlier. Chane Kampanatsanyakorn was the one responsible for his elimination although not directly.
Kampanatsanyakorn took a massive pot off Kastle, leaving him crippled and eventually eliminated a couple more hands down the line.
The second player to go from the final table was Masahiro Ohada. Ohada got his last chips into the middle with pocket 7s against Nicky Tao Jin’s K,Qo for the classic coin-flip. A K landed on the river to turn the tables on Ohada and he was done: he picked up KRW 17.8m for his efforts.

Sung Soo Chon was the next player to head to the rail, followed by Paul John Elliott and Sixiao Li. Xuan Liu was the player who got bounced in 4th place, but not even he made the 9-figure stage of the event.
The first player to take home such a generous haul was Nicky Tao Jin, who was eliminated in 3rd place. Jin got his chips into the middle on pocket 10s and he got called by Aaron Lim with an A,2o. The flop gave Lim a two pair and Jin was done for the day. His elimination set the heads-up stage of the action.

The heads-up stage of the poker tournament had Aaron Lim start with a massive 6-1 chip lead over Kampanatsanyakorn. The final hand of the event saw Lim’s K,Jo triumph over Kampanatsanyakorn’s Q,Jo.
