Aussie Millions $100k Challenge – Final Table Set

The 2015 Aussie Millions’ $100k Challenge has played down to its final table on its second day, and – as one would expect it from such an expensive
tournament – the final table is a truly stellar one. The one who will sit with the largest stack of chips come the final day of the event is none other than Ole Schemion, who had some 1.88 million chips bagged at the end of day 2. Jason Mo and Erik Seidel made the cut as well, with large stacks no less. Mo finished with 1.15 million chips, while Seidel had 1.08 million bagged. Justin Bonomo is in the mix as well, together with Dani Stern and Richard Yong.
Schemion’s impressive stack came together towards the end of the day, when he scored a major elimination, sending Tony Bloom packing in 10th place.

The board on which the elimination happened was an extremely tricky one: it read As,Kh,10h,Qs,Qh when the chips went into the middle. Bloom was the one pushing all-in, quite the natural move, since he had a flush. Schemion on the other hand had an A,Q for the boat, and he obviously made the call, delivering a nasty bad beat to his opponent.
The final table marked the money-bubble in the event too, because of the relatively small number of participants. The final table bubble-boy (and thus the actual bubble-boy of the event) was Dan Smith, who had won this same tournament three years ago. Smith staked his tournament life on a Q,Ko, and he got a caller in Erik Seidel, who had pocket Js. The board changed absolutely nothing, and thus, Smith was bounced.
