Barny Boatman Picks up Second WSOP Bracelet at WSOP-E

Barny Boatman has been the possessor of a WSOP bracelet for while now, but on Saturday, he added another such piece of prestigious jewelry to his trophy case, after he won event #7 of the 2015 world Series of Poker Europe, the €550 PLO event. The feat landed a €54.7k prize for Boatman, but he was obviously much more thrilled about the accomplishment and the bracelet than the money. Boatman's first
WSOP bracelet came in 2012, when he won a $1.5k NL Holdem event in Las Vegas, event #49 of that year's Series. He said winning this bracelet felt different from his first one. Pocketing that first gold made him realize it was possible to do it and it made him hungry for more.
Indeed, Boatman had not really been known for playing in many WSOPEs before his first bracelet. In fact, his last WSOPE presence was 4 years ago, and even then, he only played in one event. This year, he made a point of going and playing as much as possible and indeed, the results have vindicated his new approach.

Doug Lee of Canada was the one who had the largest stack at the beginning of the day. The first one to bite the dust was Damian Pawlak, at the hands of the chip leader. Dominik Maska followed him to the rail in 6th place. Jose Obadia was the one who donated his stack to Boatman to give him a massive boost. He was bounced in 4th place by the eventual winner.
Boatman then proceeded to eliminate Shannon Shorr in 3rd, to set up the heads-up stage of the tournament.
The one Boatman busted heads-up was Grzegorz Grochulski.
