Ben Sulsky is the Biggest Winner of the Year

The biggest online poker winner of the year race was not a boring affair, although in the end it did turn out to be extremely one-sided indeed. Ben Sulsky had the lead in the race for several months as the year wound down, and although his top position came under assault a couple of times, his reign was rather undisputed.
Ben Tollerene was one of the players coming from behind and looking to overtake him. At one point in October, the difference between the two players had indeed shrunk to around $173k, but that was the closest Tollerene would get to the top spot. From that point on, Sulsky managed to pull away, extending his lead and finishing the year with almost $3.6 million in profits. Tollerene in the meantime lost some money, so he ended up with $2.1 million.
He was overtaken by a couple of players: Jens Kyllonen was the one who finished runner-up eventually. Kyllonen pocketed $2.49 million in online poker cash game profits. He was followed by EireAbu, who managed to amass $2.17 million.

Alex Millar did pretty well too: he finished the year with a $1.64 million profit. He never put any of the front runners in danger though through the year.
Phil Galfond was in the middle of the high stakes ruckus all year long too. He ended up in 8th place, having built up a $1.4 million pile of cash. He was overtaken by Niklas Heinecker and bernard-bb. Also making the top 10 were longerpig, who finished 9th with $1.4 million, and Chung ho, who wraps up the list, having registered profits totaling $1.22 million.
Last year, the biggest online poker winner of the year title went to Ilari Sahamies who won $2.4 million.
