BetOnline Poker – a New Fish-pool in the Making?

BetOnline poker has been one of the major online sports-betting players since 2001. The site is therefore regarded as one of the most trustworthy destinations for those seeking to wager money on sports and that may soon be complemented by the possibility to play real money poker at the site too.
BetOnline have recently purchased the rights to an online poker platform, which is basically a version of the well-known Hero Poker software, which means that they’re about to start offering real money poker games. Their online poker ambitions are rather limited for the time being: they’re not planning on joining an online poker network, and they only aim to offer real money poker games to their sports bettors. While this means that the traffic at their online poker room will be quite limited for the time being, it also means that some of the online poker world’s juiciest games are likely to develop there. Currently, things at the BetOnline poker room are in an incipient stage, as their experts continue to fine-tune the software. Their game selection is a pretty standard one: they have Holdem, Omaha and Stud in a variety of betting structures and formats – just about what one would expect to find at any mainstream online poker room. Cash games, MTTs and SNGs can all be played at BetOnline. Critical player liquidity hasn’t quite been attained at all these game variants, but the Holdem tables already offer decent competition. Despite the limitations imposed, traffic at the poker room is already picking up. There are around 3k players online in peak hours and those numbers are guaranteed to go further up once the operation is properly launched.

BetOnline promotions are currently few and far between, but they too are likely to gather momentum as soon as the business kicks off. There are however daily freerolls running already that players can use to kick start a risk-free bankroll.
