Before the first Day of the
2015 WSOP Main Event kicked off, the poker scene had quite a bit of drama in store for fans. Part of this drama was the $500k Super High Roller Bowl, which saw its inaugural edition play down to a winner the other day. The one who walked away with the championship ring and the first place prize totaling $7.5 million, was poker pro Brian Rast, who arose from within an initial starting field of 43 players to grab the goods.
Sunday was the second day of the mega-tournament and it saw only 7 players return to the action. All 7 were safe in the knowledge that they had secured a share of the $21.5 million prize-pool, the only question was just how big that share would turn out to be.

The final table action kicked off on a cautious note and it wasn't until the 39th hand that the first victim bit the dust: Erik Seidel was sent packing by Scott Seiver, picking up a $860 reward for his efforts. Seidel was the last player to leave the table with less than $1 million. He was followed to the rail by Tom Marchese. Marchese's share of the prize-pool was $1,075,000. The next victim was David Peters, his reward some $1.5 million. Timofey Kuznetsov was next to bow out, picking up $2.1 million. Connor Drinan's elimination in 3rd place set up the heads-up stage of the action between Seiver and Rast. Drinan's cut of the loot was $3.2 million.
Seiver started the heads-up bout with the 2-1 chip advantage, but eventually Rast prevailed. Seiver picked up $5.1 million, while Rast registered the 4th 7-figure cash finish of his poker career.
