Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc. Picks up Online Poker License

Most of the big Las Vegas-based gambling operators have applied for online poker licenses within the state, and many of them have already been approved too. Still, Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc’s move is a highly significant one. After all, the company is the owner of the World Series of Poker brand, one that can yet exert a major impact on the US online poker market. Caesars Interactive have a partnership in place with 888 Holdings. 888 will obviously secure the online poker client and everything that comes with it for Caesars. The two partners won’t be able to launch their joint venture before 888 manages to secure a Nevada license as well.

According to WSOP executive director Ty Stewart, his side has the perfect cocktail to make things work out big time online poker-wise. They definitely have one of the most respected and widely recognized poker brands, they have Mitch Garber, and they have more customers in their database than any other major gambling operator out there. If these guys can’t make it work, no one can.
Stewart hopes that Caesars will be able to bring an exciting and interesting product to the online poker stage and that they will be able to offer good player liquidity. He also expressed hope that Caesars online poker operation will become the home of some of the softest games ever. Customer confidence is indeed a major part of the online poker marketing package and in that respect, only PokerStars could potentially build a stronger case than Caesars.

Caesars Entertainment vice president of corporate communications, Seth Palansky has also thanked the Nevada Gambling Commission for its efforts to regulate and legalize online poker in Nevada. Caesars were the 17th company to pick up a Nevada operating license.
