Daniel Negreanu Hits Twitch, Wins Big

Daniel Negreanu has never really been known for his online poker prowess, but that view of him may apparently be an outdated one: the PokerStars pro made his first Twitch appearance last week, playing in a series of streamed cash games at PokerStars, and to call his "debut" a success would probably be a massive understatement at this point. The numbers speak for themselves, and in this instance, they do indeed speak volumes: Negreanu, who was apparently helped by PokerStars' Jamie Staples to set up his Twitch, played for 3 hours, during which he interacted with thousands of viewers and attracted no fewer than 150,000 "onlookers". Some 4,000 of these viewers have actually signed up to his Twitch stream. The cherry on top of the Negreanu Twitch cake was the fact though that he managed to finish his session with a more than handsome $50k profit.
Sign up to PokerStars now and keep an eye on pros like Daniel Negreanu. There's always something to learn from Kid Poker, and if Twitch gets him to play more online, he'll be around more often too!

Since his above said session, Negreanu has kept accumulating Twitch followers: he now has some 14,000 subscribers and he has registered some 229k unique viewers.
Despite his great start, Kid Poker has some serious catching up to do, if he ever wants to be on the same Twitch level as Jason Somerville, the PokerStars player whom Negreanu himself credited with making Twitch cool. Obviously though, given his popularity and his charisma, Negreanu may well grow into the most popular poker player on Twitch, sooner than one may expect it. Jamie Staples "only" has some 1.5 million views and around 23k followers, so catching up with him may be a more realistic short-term goal for Negreanu.
