Delaware Launches Fully Legalized Real Money Online Gambling/Poker

It is official: New Jersey has missed the opportunity to become the first US state to offer full-scale real money online gambling and poker. That title went to Delaware the other day when the state has officially launched real money gambling, following a trial period of one week.
Three live gambling operators in the state have begun offering real money games: Harrington Raceway, Dover Downs and Delaware Park Casino. The platform on which the whole thing shall unfold is the 888 Holdings one, which is already familiar for players not only outside the US, but for those living in Nevada too, given that WSOP.com runs on a similar platform. Indeed, the
online poker that has just become available in Delware will look and feel just like WSOP.com, which isn’t a bad thing, given how well-received the WSOP.com software was among Nevada-based players.
The poker software does in fact have a few interesting options up its sleeves in Delaware, like the special face2face poker tables, which allow players to see their opponents in real time, through the use of webcams. This feature does indeed add an entirely new and very welcome dimension to the game, opening up a whole new world of poker tells.
Players are obviously also able to take notes on their opponents. They can multi-table and re-size their tables to facilitate this sort of activity.
In order to take part in the games, players have to be located within the state’s boundaries. Upon registration, players will also have to provide a social security number, which adds a great deal of accountability to the setup, and which automatically excludes foreign citizens even if they are located within the state. Upon registration, players are required to give consent in regards to the use of geo-location services.
