Durrrr $1 million challenge update

Sunday morning saw another episode of the durrrr vs Patrik Antonius challenge go down, albeit an extremely short one. The two players set about playing in their 50,000 hand match but they only played about 226 hands in 35 minutes before they called it the day.
Antonius managed to recover some of the money he’d lost to durrrr during their previous session, although the $9,500 he won this time didn’t really go down as a major turn-over. The game was interrupted at around 6:11 AM EST, when Antonius asked for a break and durrrr decided not to continue on.
Both players showed up at the high stakes cash tables later on Monday but the challenge match wasn’t continued.
One may wonder why it takes the two players so long to get something going in the challenge and why they cut their sessions so short. There could be several reasons to it: first of all, the online poker world is seeing a lot of high stakes cash action lately. None of the two players made it a secret that they’d rather play in those games than in the challenge. That basically means the challenge tables will only be manned when there’s little else going on.
Secondly, Antonius is currently in Thailand, on vacation with his family, which wedges a 14-hour time-zone difference between the two of them.
The Monday morning session saw only one significant pot take shape between the two protagonists: a $115,000 one which ended up in Antonius’ possession. The hand began with durrrr’s $1,200 raise, which was re-raised by Antonius to 3,600. Dwan made the call and the flop came 7s,5c,2c. Antonius put in a $7,200 bet and Dwan yet again made the call. The Ks showed up on the turn and Antonius bet once again, this time $21,600. Dwan made the call again. The 4c came on the river prompting Antonius to go all-in. Sensing a bluff, durrrr called him yet again, only to see the Finn turn over Jd, 10c, 8c, 8h for the flush and the win. Dwan mucked his hand.
Over the 4,178 hands the two have played so far, Dwan has the advantage when it comes to the number of pots won, however Antonius’ pots were larger on average.
Dwan is currently $140,380 up in the challenge.
