Dwan, Blom Full Tilt Pros Again

The more Full Tilt Poker renews, the more it stays the same apparently. On Monday, the site has made another major announcement regarding the addition of new in-house professionals to their team henceforth known only as The Professionals. The team does indeed seem to be fully deserving of that name, since their two most recent additions were Tom Dwan and Viktor Blom. Blom has not long ago parted ways with PokerStars, so he will be able to return to his first love without problems. The move is an obvious attempt to revive the Dwan/Blom rivalry which broke all records at Full Tilt before Black Friday put an end to the operation.

According to Full Tilt Poker’s head of marketing, Dwan is one of the most feared and respected online poker players the world has ever seen. His online exploits against Blom have generated never before seen interest and were no doubt responsible for countless new player sign-ups. The site had indeed managed to catch lightning in a jar back then and they are now obviously keen to re-create the experiment. On his part, Blom also declared that he liked playing at Full Tilt more than anywhere else. Having made his name there, the site was dear to him and he was looking forward to playing there again.
While in the beginning of their Full Tilt rivalry, Blom seemed to have the edge over Dwan, in the end he dropped pretty much his entire bankroll. While Dwan was not the beneficiary of Isildur1’s monumental meltdown, he did finish $2.4 million above the red line at the site. Blom on the other hand, registered a loss of $2.6 million.
