EPT Adds 3 More Stops to Season 8 Lineup

The
EPT has just announced the addition of no fewer than 3 new stops to its 8th season. The three new destinations are nothing to scoff at either: Madrid, Spain is the first one, followed by Campione, Italy and Berlin, Germany. All three stops will be full ones in the sense that they will feature generous main events as well as the usual bunch of accompanying side events. Each of the three Main Events will be €5,300 events, so there will be no shortage of prize-money.
According to EPT president Edgar Stuchly, the company is delighted to bring EPT poker back to two of Europe’s major capital cities, which have shown excellent potential in the past. Both Berlin and Madrid have proven to be some excellent poker hotspots indeed, so those moves are quite logical. The EPT will also break pristine ground though with its Campione event.
According to the EPT, the Campione event is meant to expand the reach of the Series into a highly exclusive region of Italy.
The Madrid event is scheduled for March: it’ll run between March 12 and 17, and the Casino Grand Madrid Torrelodones will host it. The venue is a familiar one for EPT players: the EPT’s final took place there last season.
The Campione event will take place in March as well, right after the Madrid one actually. The
poker tournaments will take place at the Casino di Campione, between March 26 and 31. That venue is no stranger to poker events either, although it hasn’t hosted an EPT event yet, the PokerStars.it Italian Poker Tour regularly holds events there. The location is a prime one indeed: it is on the shores of Lake Lugano, in the Milan region.
The Berlin stop will kick off on April 16 and wrap up on April 21. Berlin needs no introduction to EPT fans and participants.
