EPT Announces Season 10 Schedule

Barely has the finale of Season 9 kicked off,
EPT officials have already made sure that players would know what they would be returning to next season. Indeed, the schedule of the EPT’s 10th season has already been made public. Although this early, the schedule may indeed be subject to changes, what we know for sure is that it will definitely build upon many of the innovations introduced during season 9. One such innovation would be the end-to-end live webcast, which has managed to bring live EPT action into the homes of a truly global audience for the first time in the history of the Tour.
Other than the live webcast, Season 9 was characterized by massive starting fields in the Main Events and an expansion of the side-events which have stepped forth from the shade, attracting good starting fields and many “name” competitors this year.
Despite the fact that Season 9 has indeed been a resounding success from just about every angle, there will be a small tweak in the schedule meant to make things even smoother: the Sanremo stop will be dropped right back in front of the season-ending
Monaco Grand Final. According to EPT president Edgar Stuchly, the move is the result of feedback received from players, regarding the traveling times involved. Players obviously want to spend more time actually playing and less time traveling around, and the schedule tweak is meant to address that issue.
Given that the Sanremo stop will be inserted right before the Grand Final, players will be able to stick around, spending the entire month on the Riviera, playing poker and enjoying whatever the location has to offer.
For its 10th season, the Tour kicks off on August 28, 2013, with the Barcelona stop. London, Prague and the PCA will follow, followed in turn by Deauville, Berlin, Sanremo and Monte Carlo.
