The 5th day of the
EPT’s Prague stop saw the Main Event inch closer to its finish by playing down to the final table, as the High Roller played on as well. 21 players returned to the tables of the Main Event, looking to make the final table. 8 of them did indeed manage to reach that objective by the day’s end. The player to have amassed the largest stack was Ramzi Jelassi, who finished with 5.67 million chips to his name.
It took the retuning field around 8 hours to play down to the final table. Roberto Romanello was one of the early victims of the day. He started off on a short stack, but he picked up pocket 10s and decided to stake his tournament life on them. He got called by Mads Amot though, who had pocket Js. Amot’s hand held and Romanello was out.
Jeff Sarwer failed to make the final table too. He pushed all-in on an A,10o and he got a call from Aleh Plauski, who had Ac, Qc. Mads Amot bit the dust before the final table was reached too.
David Boyaciyan on the other hand made the cut, which was extremely interesting because he had made the final table of the same event a year ago too. That time, he lost to Martin Finger heads-up.
The €10k High Rollers event rolled on towards its final table too. Sorel Mizzi was the player who finished the second day of the event with the largest stack. He had 1.19 million chips bagged. Philippe Ktorza finished second, being the only other player to have amassed more than 1 million chips.
Other “name” pros who made the final table of the
poker tournament were Juha Helppi, Jason Mercier, Fabian Quoss and Marvin Rettenmaier.
