With registration open till the beginning of Day 2 of the
EPT's Prague high roller, 6 players chose to take advantage of late entry and indeed, for some of them, the move paid out well. One of these players was John Juanda, who - although bounced the previous day - managed to muster a rally and he eventually made the final table which got set by the end of the day. With everything accounted for, a total of 56 buy-ins ended up in the prize-pool, which means that the eventual winner will walk away with a €806.6k prize. The prize-pool has tipped the scale at €2.68 million. Every one of the players now still in the running is guaranteed a payday of at least €107.5k.
The one who started the day with the biggest stack was Luuk Gieles of the Netherlands, who managed to preserve and even increase his advantage on Day 2: he ended up with 2.55 million chips.

Many name pros made it through the day: Steve O'Dwyer will be there at the final table, together with Dzmitry Urbanovich, Igor Kurganov and Sam Greenwood. Obviously, for this handful of players to make it to the final table, scores of others had to fade away. Mike McDonald was one of the players who got bounced on Day 2. Fedor Holz and PokerStars pro Jason Mercier were eliminated as well.
Stephen Chidwick hit the rail too, sent packing by Sam Greenwood, after the latter's pocket Qs got the better of his pocket 9s. Tobias Reinkemeier and Anthony Zinno were among those bounced as well.
