Poker pro Antonio Esfandiari, who is a grateful and proud Las Vegas resident, and the most profitable
poker tournament player ever having amassed more than $24 million in tournament winnings, has signed up to represent Ultimate Poker, an online poker operator which is licensed to begin offering
real money online poker games within Nevada soon.
The addition of Esfandiari to the roster was definitely a master’s stroke on the part of Ultimate Poker: he will definitely lend quite a bit of weight and credibility to the brand.
According to Ultimate Poker chairman Tom Breitling, Esfandiari is truly fit to represent his operation for several reasons: he is the embodiment of the modern poker player, comfortable online and lethal in live games. Esfandiari’s whole work hard, play hard lifestyle is also something Ultimate Poker wouldn’t mind being represented by.
The company behind Ultimate Poker is Fertitta Interactive, which is already a Nevada interactive gaming license owner. The company acquired the developer behind Ultimate Poker, CyvberArts Licensing LLC, last October. Ultimate Poker is set to launch its real money games at the end of this year.
Ultimate Poker has definitely made some serious marketing efforts already. On top of Esfandiari’s signing, the brand has become the exclusive online gaming partner of the UFC.
On his part, Esfandiari said that he was delighted to represent a brand licensed by the Nevada Gaming Commission. He also said that he felt good about representing a poker operation which would always be guaranteed to repay its customers regardless of the circumstances.
When discussing the details of the deal, Esfandiari said that he was good friends with Breitling, so that was obviously instrumental in the hammering out of the deal. He also said the poker room was going to run some exclusive UFC-related promotions.
