We told you that you could find fame and fortune with Americas Cardroom on Facebook, and it seems like you flocked! Americas Cardroom On Line Poker Facebook Winners have emerged.
For those who have been following, Americas Cardroom has been running a Facebook contest, in which members of the site are able to suggest names for a new points race that the on line poker site will be starting soon. The suggestion that got the most likes becomes the winner, and their name will be used. In addition to the fame however, there was also fortune. The top 18 suggestions got their creators a seat at a fantastic $5,000 freeroll. Well we now know who will play holdem in that FR, and who is in the running for having their name picked for the on line poker points race.
The 18 winners who will play holdem in the freeroll are Samantha Becker, Eric Phillips, Barb Goldn, Eugene Jerome Dupuis, Wylfyr Freddie Kuchi, Dave Joy, William Whitcomb, Vasile Chifu, Steve Cooper, Kenny Horrell, Joshua Giaramita, JJ Erickson, Dale Wipf, Gustavo Llermaly, Tom Poloncarz Jr, Gregory Vetas, Rumen Ganev, Nicoleta Laura Dumitru.
The on line poker points race that is being introduced is a progressive leaderboard race in which part of the tournament fee will automatically go into the progressive pot. Points for the leaderboard are earned the more a player plays, and the pot gets bigger with the more players that play. We await its launch with baited breath, as well as the announcement of the name won by Facebook friends!
